This had got to be the most uneventful Independance Day ever.
Probably it's the fact that I'm stuck at home alone with nowhere to go. Probably it's that I'm freaking out too much over the trials (which starts in two weeks' time by the way) to even care about it.
Well
Happy 51st birthday, Malaysia.
I don't have any pictures to show you.

Restoration and detoxification
24 August 2008While the rest of the world watches the closing ceremony of probably THE most memorable Olympics ever...
It would be a good time for me to blog about Church Camp '08 while my mom is busy watching it. Heheheh.
This year's camp was by far one of my most memorable experiences ever. What with the food poisoning, half-basketball court, green swimming pool, Rm7 per hour only! internet connection, wild boars, dinner plate-sized moths and the giant TV at reception.
Just one of those times when I wish I had a camera.
The only other church camp that I went to was way back in 2004 in Cameron Highlands, where my snoring deprived Pastor Reuben of sleep for nights in a row. And in his own words,
"Jo Ng, go away. Go far, far away"
So after 4 years, I am finally back where it all started!
Will be back as soon as I get some pictures to show you.
To be continued,
Jo

And I thought my jokes were bad
19 August 2008
I'm gonna drive someone crazy soon if I don't stop impersonating The Joker's voice.
You know it's bad when you talk for two full hours and no one understands a word you say. But then, have you ever wondered how some people in their blogs they can rant on and on and on and on and on...
And never, ever stop.
Well at least not until I fall half-asleep in front of my computer screen trying to make heads or tails of what they're saying. The fact that Hillsong United's Solution is blasting on my speakers is not helping.
My sister just turned 19 yesterday. And like the circus that came during the latter part of yesterday said, "You're one year older!!"
So while they ripped the house apart guess what was I doing?
6/10 this one. Couldn't hear the dialouges coz the CD quality basically sucks.
What with the increasing population of ants in my house and the evolution of their diet I cannot understand. When I put my food on the table, it's alright. I put it on the floor, it's still alright. I put it in front my my monitor, it's still alright.
But when I put anything edible beside the keyboard, the ants are all over it like there's no tomorrow. You name it - curry, salad, prawns, mee hoon and even plain water!
Weirdos.
Better stop before I become like one of those bloggers I mentioned earlier.
Can't wait for Church Camp 08!

Oh Joy!
17 August 2008Thank you Isaac for lending me the DVD =)
And the whole time I was watching it on my mom's tiny Dell Laptop screen... Haha! Pretty cool movie, but nothing beats The Dark Knight!
8/10 then. You HAVE to watch this. I especially like the witty quotes by the cast, like this one for example.
"Don't be afraid, Bruce. You're just an ordinary man in a cape. That is why
you cannot fight injustice and that is why you cannot stop this train."
"Who said anything about stopping it?"
Oh, and I'm starting a huge personal project soon enough, so do ask me about it when you see me online =) Your input would be much, MUCH appreciated

Now on a much closer-to-home subject, Ladies' Day was just OKAY for me. The response wasn't much worth the screeching and screaming we all went through planning it but hey, who am I to say anything when I don't see the big picture yet?
The theme of the whole event was Diamonds and Denims. I went there with my jeans, alright - that was the easy part. I ended up going through the whole event without anything sparkly on me... Haha! But then again it probably was a good thing, because I'll look plain weird with sparkly stuff on xP
Just imagine me with diamond-studded shirt.
...ew.
I actually acted in the drama - which only had 4 main recurring characters by the way (me being one of them) and it was so far my second go at stage acting. Well like I said earlier, response wasn't as good as I would have wanted it to be. Stephen started the drama, saying it was an Oscar-worthy script.
"Ever had the feeling that you're doing something right but it all turns
out to be wrong?"
"...Well, there was this once when I thought tampons were used to clean my
contact lenses. Didn't turn out well."
He ended it saying, "Did I say Oscar-worthy? Erm... maybe Bintang Filem Malaysia. Probably"
Great -_-"
But we'll just have to wait and see =)
By the way,
You don't mess with the Zohan : 5/10
10,000BC : 6/10
Imma go watch more movies,
Jo

Second, by reflection, which is the noblest;
